Suitable to all, a great class to slow down, relax, develop new body skills, and age gracefully!
Join us, and improve your coordination and balance. Learn movement sequences that are easy
to perform physically but are also good brain gym.

CLASS CURRICULUM:

5-6pm CLASS: The curriculum includes easy-to-follow and relaxing QiGong routines, and movement sequences to slow down and improve coordination, balance, body skills, and memory.

Gentle warm-up, QiGong and brain gym practices include:

  • Joints Loosening, body loosening, hands dexterity and brain gym exercises

  • 3 Taoist Rejuvenation,

  • Dr Yang Jwing Ming Tai-Chi QiGong,

  • 5 Seasons QiGong,

  • Old Yang style QiGong,

  • Seasonal QiGong such as Water and Kidneys QiGong in the Winter, QiGong for the Liver and the Eyes in the Spring, Heart QiGong in the Summer, Lungs and Immune QiGong in the Fall.

Tai-Chi forms include:

  • 13 Powers Tai-Chi (taught mainly in the fall & winter), a great intro to longer forms

  • 4 Directions 5 Elements Tai-Chi (often taught on Wednesday rather than Monday)

  • Yang 24 Tai-Chi Form (taught in detail in the spring and summer sessions)

  • Old Yang Tai-Chi, first section of the long form (when time allows)

6-6:30pm BONUS TIME

Some participants stay for the optional bonus time, to further practice of Tai-Chi forms, for gentle conditioning of specific body parts, and for stretching.
The curriculum varies based on participants preferences and may include:

  • More details work on the Yang 24 Tai-Chi form

  • Body Conditioning: Some sessions focus on the core, gluts, hips, hands, feet, etc.

  • Stretching: some sessions include Meridian Stretches, 5 Tibetan Rites

    The Wednesday class is often bilingual, taught both in English and French.
