More about Tai-Chi and QiGong:

Both Tai-Chi & QiGong originate from ancient China. Studies have shown they can benefit the cardio-vascular & respiratory systems, immunity, bone & joint health, balance, pain, mood, and brain function.

They can be practiced for health and wellness, to develop awareness and sensations of your life force (called Qi and pronounces “chee”), as a form of meditation in motion, for self-improvement and spiritual development, etc. Tai-Chi is an Internal Martial Art. Undertsanding the martial applications helps develop better coordination, which results in a better flow of Qi.

Practicing choreographed movements like in Tai-Chi has been shown to reduce the chance of getting dementia. Learning a Tai-Chi sequence, or form, requires a little bit of patience, but is extremely rewarding.

Patricia learnt Tai-Chi from her Canadian teachers Steve Higgins and Sam Masich. She develops her programs and creates short forms, based on these traditional teachings, as well as her knowledge of both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and her various athletic experiences (including Kung-Fu). She practices Yang and Old Yang styles of Tai-Chi.
